  11. release (03-Aug-95):

  27. TurboCalc 3.5 is the powerful successor to the program TurboCalc 2.0,
  28. which defined a new standard for spread-sheet analysis on the Amiga.
  29.  
  30. TurboCalc 3.5 uses an enhanced, easy-to-use user interface, utilising
  31. numerous innovations such as Drag & Drop for copying/moving or filling with
  32. the mouse, even easier selection of functions, freezing of sheet titles or
  33. the displayable status row. A multiple Undo/Redo of a variable depth
  34. reverses the effect of erroneous data or commands and can save much work,
  35. as can the Autosave and Backup options.
  36.  
  37. Thanks to the new object concept which allows insertion and printing of
  38. charts, texts, drawings, IFF-images ... directly in the sheet, sheets can
  39. now be more effectively created and designed.
  40. Charts (e.g. the new 3D bar and pie charts) can be directly placed beside
  41. the appropriate number sequence. Longer texts can be compactly accomodated
  42. in a cell comprising several lines. The formfeed visible in the sheet as
  43. well as the print preview funct on assist in achieving optimal layout on
  44. screen, saving both paper and time.
  45.  
  46. All this can be committed to paper with using improved print routines, or
  47. be integrated in your text processing software as IFF graphics or text (via
  48. file or clipboard).

  50. A database mask is now available to allow easier management of your
  51. TurboCalc databases.
  52.  
  53. The most significant enhancements:
  54. -   Objects (chart, text, drawing, picture...) can be directly
  55.     inserted into the sheet and have a macro attached, and also
  56.     be printed in the graphic mode.
  57. -   Cells may contain several lines.
  58. -   Drag-and-Drop for moving/copying/changing the size of blocks
  59.     by the mouse.
  60. -   Multiple Undo/Redo
  61. -   Chart module vastly expanded (new chart types, 3D, Auto-
  62.     Refresh, ...).
  63. -   Preview for the printing of graphics (from OS2.0 on).
  64. -   Formfeed visible in the sheet.
  65. -   Data-Mask for an easier input/display of data records.
  66. -   Status row displayable with short online-help.
  67. -   (Maximal) number of columns increased: now up to 18278 columns
  68.     can be used (A..ZZZ) [together with up to 9 999 999 rows]
  69. -   Clipboard support for easy data exchange with text
  70.     processing programs.
  71. -   Sheets can be saved as IFF-images (e.g. for an easy export to
  72.     text processing programs).
  73. -   Autosave (every x minutes, alternatively the last version will
  74.     be kept).
  75. -   New Import & Export-Formats: Excel 4 (XLS) and Lotus 123 (.WK1/.WKS)
  76.     both can import formulas, the xls-filter even keeps most
  77.     of the cell formatting.
  78. -   Fast and easy access to the last used projects via "SmartOpen"
  79. -   Encrypting sheets using a very sophisticated cryptograhic
  80.     algorithm
  81. -   Complete support of OS2.x/3.x (Locale support, memory-
  82.     pools, AmigaGuide).
  83. -   reqtools-Filerequester is supported!
  84. -   Amiga-Guide help file can directly be accessed from TurboCalc.
  85. -   Requester for inserting functions/macros now with
  86.     categories to allow an easier and faster access
  87. -   Many new functions/macros.
  88. -   TurboCalc-Libraries for an easy expansion of TurboCalc
  89.     with external functions, macros, objects, etc.
  90.     (Documentation to program own libraries included)
  91. -   Numerous general improvements (e.g. saving the cursor
  92.     position, special colors for every sheet, "hidden"
  93.     password inquiry ...)

  97. Commodore Amiga, Kickstart 1.2/1.3, 2.0, 2.1, 3.0, 3.1; at
